Deoksugung Palace: free entry for Chuseok 2026 (덕수궁)

Deoksugung Palace in central Seoul is free to enter for four days over Chuseok (추석, Korea's autumn harvest holiday).

Dates

• Thursday 24 September to Sunday 27 September 2026

Tours

• English tour of Seokjojeon (석조전, the Korean Empire history hall): 11:50 and 14:50. Just turn up, no booking.
• Korean tours of the palace buildings: 10:00, 11:15, 14:15 and 16:30.
• Korean tours of Seokjojeon need booking: 9:30 and 16:30 (in depth), 13:00 and 14:30 (general).

Art museum inside the palace

• MMCA Deoksugung (National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art) is also free on the same four days. There are no exhibition tours on those days.
