Meet the Native Teachers' Union at Taco Amigo, Itaewon (31 October)

Representatives of the KGLU Native Teachers' Union (Seoul Branch) will be at Taco Amigo on Saturday afternoon to meet foreign teachers and anyone curious about the union: what it has achieved in Korea, what it offers its members, and how to join. It is Halloween weekend, and the venue carries on into a night of spooky fun afterwards.

Good to know

• Free entry, no sign-up. Drop in any time between 15:00 and 17:00.
• Bring a canned-food donation for the Foreigner Virtual Community Center food drive.
• Buy a drink or some food while you are there to support the venue.
• The union speaks for foreign-language teachers: fair wages, safer working conditions, equal treatment and stronger protections, with support when a workplace problem comes up. It is a branch of the Korean General Labor Union.
• Taco Amigo is in the Itaewon and Gyeongnidan area, near Noksapyeong Station (Line 6, exit 2). The restaurant runs its events on the 3rd floor; the union did not name a floor, so ask at the door.
