Description

University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) Asia is recruiting adjunct faculty in history and government to teach at Kunsan Air Base.

■ Duties
- Teach on-site undergraduate courses to adult learners, keep students actively engaged, give rubric-based feedback, and advise the program chair on curriculum.

■ Who can apply
- A master's degree in the subject field or a closely related one, from an accredited institution. All teaching is in English and no Korean is required. International degrees may need a NACES evaluation, and new hires complete a required training course.
- Important: UMGC does NOT sponsor a visa for adjunct posts. The posting states applicants must already hold and maintain their own legal status in Korea, so this suits F-2, F-4, F-5 and F-6 holders and SOFA-status family members. Teaching on a military installation also needs base access, so confirm that with the employer early.

■ Terms
- Adjunct, paid per credit hour: USD 903-1,173 without a doctorate, USD 931-1,215 with one.

■ How to apply
- Through the original posting, with a CV, cover letter and unofficial transcripts. The post is open until filled.
