About BarleyGrasshopper English Academy
BarleyGrasshopper English Academy is a small, student-centered English academy located in Bundang.
We believe that children learn English best when they are surrounded by an environment where they feel comfortable speaking, asking questions, making mistakes, and expressing their own ideas.
Rather than focusing mainly on traditional ESL instruction, memorization, or test preparation, our classes emphasize:
Speaking and natural conversation
Reading and comprehension
Discussion-based learning
Critical thinking and opinion sharing
Creative and academic writing
Literature and storybook-based learning
Student presentations and participation
Many of our students are beginner to intermediate English learners, particularly kindergarten and elementary-aged students who are still building confidence in English.
Our goal is to create an environment similar to an English-speaking kindergarten or elementary classroom, where students can learn English naturally through conversation, interaction, repetition, encouragement, and meaningful communication.
A Small and Caring Academy
BarleyGrasshopper English Academy is a small academy, and we value a warm, supportive, and family-like working environment.
Our native English-speaking teachers are long-term members of our teaching community, with teachers staying with us for several years. We value consistency and hope to find someone who would also enjoy building meaningful relationships with our students and team.
We are especially looking for a teacher who genuinely likes children and is willing to give individual attention and care to each student.
For us, a good teacher is not simply someone who can explain a textbook well. We want someone who notices when a student is struggling, encourages shy students to speak, celebrates their progress, and helps them feel comfortable and confident in English.
