Faculty Posts, 55 Fields (Every Field Requires Teaching in English) — Jinju (Gyeongnam)

Gyeongsang National University in Jinju is recruiting fifty-five faculty for the first semester of 2027: fifty-two full-time posts and three endowed chairs. This is the largest faculty round open anywhere in the country right now.

■ Why it is worth a foreigner's time
- The common eligibility section states that across all fields, applicants must be able to lecture in English. That applies to every one of the fifty-five posts, not a subset.
- The notice also sets out what happens if the successful candidate holds foreign nationality: it asks for a criminal record certificate issued by your own country's authorities for the background check. A university that writes down the procedure for foreign appointees is expecting them.
- Part of the assessment, specifically the open seminar, can be held remotely, so you can take part from abroad.
- One of the fields advertised is Korean language education as a foreign language.

- Appointment from 1 March 2027. Pay follows the national university performance-based annual salary system, so no figure is published.
