Full-Time Faculty, 89 Fields (International Candidates May Be Assessed Separately) — Hongik University (Seoul and Sejong)

Hongik University is recruiting full-time faculty for the first semester of 2027, across 89 numbered fields on its Seoul and Sejong campuses. It publishes a full standalone announcement in English, and says plainly that international candidates are welcome.

■ What the university says about international applicants
- Its English announcement states that international candidates are welcome to apply and may be evaluated separately, and that international faculty who are appointed are required to give all their lectures in English or Chinese.
- It also states that all documents and letters must be submitted in either English or Korean, and that anything in another language needs a translation into one of those two. So documents already in English are accepted as they stand.

- 89 entries covering both tenure-track and non-tenure-track posts, across the undergraduate colleges and the graduate schools on both campuses. Hongik is best known for art, design and architecture, and the list also runs across engineering, business, advertising and public relations, games and the performing arts. ■ Who can apply
- A PhD in the relevant field for full-time positions. For posts in art, design including architectural design, and the performing arts, the university applies its own standards and says preference goes to candidates holding a PhD.

■ Terms
- Appointment is from 1 March 2027. No salary is stated in the announcement.

- Online through the university's application site. All required material must be submitted by 14:00 Korean time on Tuesday 6 October 2026. Applications open on 24 September.
