SLP Gwangmyeong is looking for qualified teachers to serve as kindergarten & elementary teachers. You will be a subject teacher for kindergarten students, and teach a few elementary classes in the afternoon. You will teach in an English immersion program that focuses on topics such as phonics, basic writing, stories, science, and arts & crafts, and help students gain confidence in English.

1. Responsibilities Overview

• Delivering effective instruction in accordance with the curriculum and educational standards of the Institute.

• Accumulate background knowledge and reading skills through various contents, while engaging in speaking activities to express understanding

• Overseeing and ensuring the welfare, safety, and productive engagement of students during instructional and institutional activities.

• Conducting student assessments, providing constructive feedback, and preparing detailed evaluation reports to track and support student progress.

• Have regular teaching evaluations conducted by the Academic Supervisor or other designated administrators

• Adhering to and implementing the established teaching policies and guidelines of the Institute.

• Participating in group teaching sessions, demonstrating teaching methodologies, and engaging in peer learning.

• Engaging in training programs organized by the SLP Institute or SLP headquarters, aiming for continuous professional enhancement.

2. Requirements

• Native-level proficiency in English

• Bachelor's degree (minimum requirement)

• Eligible for or possesses an E-2 visa with citizenship from the USA, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, or South Africa.

• F visa or Korean citizenship holders

• Apostilled documents (Diploma & Criminal Record Check)

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Enthusiastic, patient, and passionate about teaching.

• Ability to adapt to a new cultural environment.

3. Working Conditions

• Student Type: Kindergarten & Elementary

• Curriculum: Curriculum and basic forms of lesson plans provided

• Working Hours: M/W/F, 9:00 A.M. - 6:30 P.M., T/Th 9:00 A.M. - 5:30 P.M.

• Teaching Hours: 30-35 classes per week

• Class Time: 40 minutes per class (kindy), 45-50 minutes per class (elementary)

• Class Size: 12 students per class

• Lunch: Eat with kids, 100,000KRW provided monthly, separate break will be provided (1pm-1:20pm)

• Teacher Training: Provided

• Teaching Staff: 12 Native English Teachers
