Poly is looking for qualified homeroom teachers to serve as kindergarten to elementary school-age teachers. You will mainly be teaching kindergarten classes in the mornings and elementary classes in the afternoons.

Responsibilities Overview

• Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons

• Grade regular homework assignments

• Prepare and create tests and examinations

• Track and report students’ performance and give feedback

• Teach advanced English level kindergarten students ages 5-7 speaking, stories, arts and crafts, phonics, reading, and writing (with a Korean teaching partner)

• Teach advanced English level elementary school students through speaking and writing, reading, grammar, and book discussion classes

Requirements

• Native English speaker

• Have a minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

• Holds or is eligible to obtain an E-2 visa (USA, CAN, UK, AUS, NZ, IRE, or SA citizenship)

• Apostilled diploma and criminal background check

• Must be physically and mentally healthy.

• TEFL certification is preferred but not required.

Working Conditions

• Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:30 A.M. - 6:40 P.M. (Daily breaks & prep time included)

• Break Time: 40 min. lunch break, breaks between each class.

• Prep Time: Scheduled prep time that is separate from break times.

• Ages and Grade Levels: Kindergarten (Ages 5-7), Elementary (Grades 1-4)

• Class Size: 8 - 12 Students

• Teaching Time: 40 min. per class

• Teaching Hours: Average 29 hours per week

• Teachers and Admin: 11 Native Teachers / 10 Korean Teachers / 5 Administrative Staff

• Training: Onsite obversation, mentoring, and hands-on training; online study
