Research Positions ×9, Trapped-Ion Quantum Science (Bachelor’s Degree Enough for Researcher) — IBS (Daejeon)

The Institute for Basic Science’s Center for Trapped Ion Quantum Science is recruiting nine researchers across three levels. Three of the posts need only a bachelor’s degree, which makes this one of the more accessible research openings in Korea.

■ The posts
- Senior Researcher ×3: trapped-ion experiments, quantum information science, and laser and optics development. Needs a doctorate.
- Researcher ×3: needs a bachelor’s degree or above in science or engineering.
- Postdoctoral Research Associate ×3: a doctorate in physics or a related field, obtained within the last five years.

■ Who can apply
- Degree requirements as above, all as of 1 April 2027. Expertise in atomic physics, optics, vacuum systems, control electronics, programming or cryogenic systems is useful. The interview assesses fluency in English.

■ Terms
- Expected appointment 1 April 2027. Salary follows the institute’s pay scale.
