Scaffolder, 10 Posts (₩135,000-170,000 a Day, Dormitory and Three Meals) — Ulju (Ulsan)

A subcontractor inside the HD Hyundai Mipo and Samho yard complex at Onsan is hiring ten scaffolders and scaffold helpers. At up to 170,000 won a day this is the highest day rate in this batch.

■ Duties
- Erecting scaffolding, and assisting on the scaffold crew.

■ Who can apply
- This employer is registered under the Employment Permit System, and the posting states it intends to hire a foreign worker for this role after the period set aside for recruiting locally. In practice that makes it realistic for people already holding an E-9 or H-2 visa, and for F-visa holders who can work freely.

■ Terms
- 135,000 to 170,000 won a day, ten openings. The range reflects whether you come in as a helper or a scaffolder.
- A dormitory, three meals a day, a commuter bus, and help with children's school fees.

■ Worth knowing
- Your employer would be the subcontractor rather than the shipyard itself. That is normal in Korean shipbuilding, but be clear who you are signing with.

■ How to apply
- Through the government employment portal page linked below. The employer recruits on a rolling basis with no closing date.
