Senior Researchers and Postdocs, Rare Isotope Physics — IBS Center for Exotic Nuclear Studies (Daejeon)

The Institute for Basic Science is recruiting two Senior Researchers and two Postdoctoral Research Associates in low-energy nuclear physics.

■ Duties
- Independent research using rare isotope beams at RAON in Korea and at partner facilities abroad: RIBF in Japan, FRIB in the United States and GANIL in France.

■ Who can apply
- Senior Researcher: a PhD, or a master’s degree plus 5 years of research experience, by 1 December 2026.
- Postdoctoral Research Associate: a PhD earned within the last 5 years, or expected within 3 months of appointment.
- The announcement and the application are in English, and the centre states that it strongly encourages applications from women and from groups traditionally underrepresented in the field. No Korean is required. Korean male applicants must have completed or be exempt from military service; this does not apply to foreign applicants.

■ Terms
- Appointment from 1 December 2026. Salary follows the institute’s pay-band system (amount not published).
