Roles and Responsibility

Seoul Christian School is an internationally accredited school, looking for dedicated teachers who are passionate about teaching elementary students as a homeroom teacher.

• Teach various subjects to elementary students

• Ensure that students meet all learning standards laid out by the school

• Provide feedback on student learning and facilitate student learning in areas students struggle in

• Follow the textbooks and syllabi provided by the school to create a diverse curriculum and lesson plans for students

• Add appropriate learning activities, visual aids, and auditory aids to lessons

• Grade assignments and prepare student progress reports in a timely manner

• Attend and participate in faculty and staff meetings

• Teachers must attend Sunday service with the school or through a church they are registered in.

Candidate Qualifications

• Native English Speaker

• Have a minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

• Holds or is eligible for the E-2 visa with USA, CAN, UK, AUS, NZ, IRE, or SA citizenship

• Hold an F-visa with USA, CAN, UK, AUS, NZ, IRE, or SA citizenship or Korean citizenship

• Apostilled Diploma and Criminal Background Check

• Must be physically and mentally healthy

• Prefer teachers with a teaching license and elementary teaching experience.

• Must be a practicing Christian. Teachers much teach Bible-related classes and a Christian faith-based curriculum.

Working Conditions

• Teaching Age: Elementary

• Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:25 A.M. - 4:30 P.M.

• Class Hours: 45 ~ 50 minutes per class

• Class Size: Less than 10 students per class

• Severance Pay: Paid upon the completion of employment (minimum 1-year contract)

• Vacation:

Summer Vacation: 2 weeks paid + 6 weeks unpaid or summer vacation camp teaching

Winter Vacation: 2 weeks paid

Easter Vacation: 1 week paid

• Sick Day: 5 paid days

• Airfare: One-way flight ticket reimbursed for candidates outside of Korea.
