The Division of Advanced Nuclear Engineering (DANE) at POSTECH invites applications for tenure-track faculty positions in fusion science and technology, plasma physics and engineering, and accelerator science. Applications go directly to POSTECH; Waegook is only sharing the notice.

■ The position
- Fields: fusion science and technology, plasma physics and engineering, accelerator science
- Start: the first semester of the 2027 academic year; the official start date can be negotiated if necessary
- Hiring is anticipated at assistant professor level, with associate professor considered for exceptional candidates
POSTECH is looking for candidates with the potential to build an internationally competitive research programme — international recognition in their field, the ability to establish and lead an independent research group, and strategies for collaborating with scientists and groups at POSTECH. Candidates are also expected to be able to teach undergraduate and graduate courses and supervise students.
■ Eligibility
- PhD in nuclear engineering, plasma science, accelerator physics or a closely related field
- Exceptional PhD students who expect to complete their degree by the appointment date are also welcome to apply
- The division explicitly encourages non-Korean citizens and female scientists to apply
■ Deadline
14 August 2026, 18:00 Korea time.
