Daegu Garden Show on a river island, 23 to 27 October

Daegu turns a river island into a garden show for five days in late October.

Place: Hajungdo island on the Geumho River, Nogok-dong, Buk-gu, Daegu
Price: The city has not announced an entry price. The island itself is normally free to enter.
Booking: Nothing announced
Good for: Families, couples and friends

What is on, as the city describes it:

• Display gardens built by students, residents and companies
• A garden industry fair
• A garden festival programme across the island

The island is about 22 hectares of riverside, and Buk-gu district says cosmos flowers are planted there in autumn, so the walk itself is the main attraction.

Two practical points. The city has not published opening hours yet, and there is no car park at the island. Bus 북구3 or 칠곡2 stops at Nogok-dong, then it is about a 16 minute walk.
