Gochujang festival in Sunchang, 15 to 18 October, with a kimchi class for foreigners

Sunchang, the home of gochujang (Korean chilli paste), holds its festival of fermented sauces for four days.

Place: Sunchang Traditional Gochujang Folk Village, Sunchang, Jeonbuk
Price: Free entry. Some hands-on programmes may cost money; prices are not published.

The festival site has English, Chinese and Japanese pages. Daily opening hours are not published, so ask Sunchang County (063-650-1624) before you travel.
