Jeonju Hanok Village stays open late for two free nights

Jeonju opens its old town after dark for two evenings at the start of October.

Date: Friday 2 and Saturday 3 October 2026, 18:00 to 22:00
Place: Hanok Village, Gyeonggijeon Shrine, Pungnammun Gate and the old provincial office, Jeonju
Price: The tourism listing says free entry. The organiser does not publish a price.
Booking: Not needed, except for two walking tours
Good for: Couples, friends and families

What is on, as the organiser lists it:

• A heritage procession through the old town
• An outdoor concert of Korean traditional music
• A young makers' flea market
• Two guided tours that need a booking: a Later Baekje palace and fortress walk, and a Hanok Village alley tour

The tour booking forms are Google Forms in Korean, linked from the organiser's site.

Getting there: From Jeonju city buses, get off at the Jeondong Cathedral and Hanok Village stop, or the provincial office stop. Buses 1001, 1002, 5001, 5002, 101, 119 and 165 stop nearby.

Careful with older pages. Jeonju held another heritage night in June, and the city tourism page still shows those old dates. The October dates above are from the festival's own site.
