Language exchanges and board game nights in Seoul

New in Seoul and want to meet people? These groups meet every week. They are run by private hosts on Meetup, not by Waegook, so check the group page on the day you go.

Quiet and cafe-based

• InnerCircle Village: board games and language exchange near Dongdaemun, Saturday afternoons. Small day pass plus one drink.
• CES Go Seoul: learn and play Go (baduk) in Insadong, Sundays and Wednesdays. Free, beginners taught, in English, Korean and French.
• Itaewon Board Game Night: free board games and a craft club at a cafe in Itaewon.
• Seoul Board Game and Social: strategy board games in Isu, Monday evenings. You pay the cafe's table fee.
• Local x Global Mingle: English and Korean conversation rotations at a cafe in Itaewon, Sunday afternoons. Small fee.

Bigger and livelier

• YNA Language Exchange: Hongdae, Wednesday to Saturday evenings. Ages 19 to 50.
• GSM Gangnam: a bilingual party at a bar near Sinnonhyeon, Friday and Saturday nights. Drink included.

Drinks are part of the evening at the bigger ones. Go with a friend the first time, and keep your own drink in sight.
