Moved house? Report your new address within 15 days

If you have a foreign registration card and move to a new home, you must report your new address (체류지 변경신고) within 15 days of moving in.

How to report

• Online through Government24 (gov.kr). Online reports can only be made by yourself.
• In person at the immigration office, city or district office, or community centre (주민센터) for your new address. Someone else can go for you with a letter of authorisation.
• It is free.

What to bring or upload

• Your passport or foreign registration card.
• Proof of your new address, such as your lease contract, an accommodation confirmation, a utility bill receipt, or a dormitory fee receipt.

If you report late
Late reporting is punished with a fine. The amounts in the Immigration Act rules are:

• less than 3 months late: 100,000 won
• 3 to 6 months late: 300,000 won
• 6 months to 1 year late: 500,000 won
• 1 to 2 years late: 700,000 won
• 2 years or more: 1,000,000 won
