Royal parade in Suwon on 4 October

Suwon's fortress festival runs for eight days, and it opens with a parade that fills the city.

Date: Sunday 4 to Sunday 11 October 2026
Place: Hwaseong Haenggung Square, 825 Jeongjo-ro, Paldal-gu, Suwon
Price: The tourism listing says free, with some programmes paid. The organiser does not publish prices.
Booking: Some performances and hands-on programmes take bookings on the festival site.

About the parade. The King Jeongjo royal procession takes place on 4 October. The route runs in three parts: from Anyang, then from the pine tree area to Suwon Sports Complex, and finally from the sports complex through Janganmun Gate to Haenggung Square. The organiser has not published a start time, so check the festival site a few days before.
