What do I need?
- Application form (school form)
- Degree certificate (or expected) and transcripts for every year: bachelor's for the master's, master's for the PhD
- Supervisor opinion form (school form)
- Catholic baptism certificate
- Personal information consent form (school form)
- Passport copy, a study-cost pledge (school form), and your alien registration card copy if you hold one
- Both parents foreign: proof of foreign nationality for you and both parents and a family relation certificate (China: a hukou listing all three); if a parent died or divorced, a government document proving it
- 16 years abroad: graduation certificates and transcripts for primary, middle and high school and university (overseas Koreans add an overseas Korean certificate)
Foreign degree certificates and transcripts need an apostille or consular confirmation, filed with the original. Papers not in Korean or English need a notarised Korean or English translation. Chinese graduates attach a CHSI certificate.
Application fee 40,000 won (master's) or 60,000 won (PhD). Results about 20 November 2026 on the homepage. Pay tuition within the set period or the admission is cancelled. Papers are not returned.

- FOREIGNER ROUTE: you and both parents are foreign nationals, or you did all your schooling from primary school to university abroad (16 years or more)
- Master's: a degree from a theology faculty, held or expected. PhD: a theology master's, held or expected, and a recommendation from your future supervisor
- Selection is one interview: two or more examiners score your Korean and academic ability (4 November 2026, 14:00)
- Apply IN PERSON at the Songsin campus academic affairs team (main building), 12 to 16 October 2026, 09:00 to 17:00. Forms are on songsin.catholic.ac.kr
- STL entrants who hold a bachelor's in theology take a one-year preparatory course after entry
