CAYSS Scholarship for International Students in STEM
This scholarship supports outstanding STEM graduate students who are recommended by a Chung-Ang University full-time faculty member. It can cover tuition for 4 semesters, or 8 semesters for integrated master's-PhD students, and may also provide monthly living support from the advisor's lab.

Who can apply
- Applicant must be an outstanding STEM graduate-school applicant recommended as a CAYSS scholar by a Chung-Ang University full-time faculty member.
- At least one language requirement must be met: TOPIK or TOPIK IBT level 4 or higher, or TOEFL iBT 71 / 3.5 (tests taken on or after 2026-01-21), IELTS 5.5, CEFR B2, TEPS 600, TOEIC 800, or an equivalent score.
- Exempt: a degree from NZ, the US, Ireland, the UK, Canada or Australia; level 4 done or level 5 enrolled at a certified Korean university institute; a Korean-language major abroad; a Korean bachelor's or master's; Sejong intermediate 2
- The applicant's final school CGPA must satisfy at least one threshold: 2.64/4.0, 2.80/4.3, 2.91/4.5, 3.23/5.0, or 80 points or higher.
- Paid for 4 semesters (8 for integrated master's-PhD) while your GPA stays 3.5 or higher; your adviser's recommendation letter is due before each semester, or that semester's award is cancelled
- Master's scholars submit a JCR journal paper before graduating and have it published within a year after; PhD scholars publish one as first or corresponding author before graduating. Otherwise the award is recovered
- For the visa you still show living funds of 15,000,000 won minus the yearly research pay from your adviser
