Global Korea Scholarship (GKS), graduate
Korea's main government scholarship, run by NIIED. About 2,000 master and PhD places a year: tuition, a monthly allowance, a flight and one year of Korean language study first. The call opens once a year, in February.
Read the official page- 1Watch the GKS notices on the Study in Korea portal in February for the call and your country's quota
- 2Pick a track: embassy (up to three universities, applied online) or university (one university, applied to the school)
- 3Prepare the application form, statement, study plan, two recommendation letters, degree certificates and transcripts with apostille
Embassy track: online on the Study in Korea site, your embassy selects first. University track: apply to one university. Never both.
