Inje University graduate scholarships for international students (full-time 85% or 50%, part-time awards)
Full-time graduate students recommended by their adviser or department head get 85% or 50% of tuition off in return for research or teaching assistant duty, 20 hours a week or more. The 85% award adds a paper duty and a 3.5 grade average. Part-time students get 30%, Music entrants 20%, Global MBA entrants 30%. Who can apply
- New international graduate students (Fall 2026 guide). The 85% and 50% awards are for full-time students recommended by the adviser or department head. The 50% award carries full-time student duties but no paper duty
- FULL-TIME MEANS ASSISTANT DUTY (scholarship form, attachment 4): no regular job, and research or teaching assistant work under your adviser, 20 hours a week or more as a rule. An activity log is filed twice a semester
- If you miss the activity log you cannot apply for the full-time award the next semester. If you take a job you lose the award and must tell the Graduate School office; an unreported job means repaying all of it
- Duties for 85%: a graduate grade average of 3.5 out of 4.5 or higher in the previous semester, and one paper during the course. If the duties are not met you cannot submit the thesis or graduate
- Paper duty, master's, medicine, science and engineering: a paper in a National Research Foundation listed journal or higher (co-author allowed)
- Paper duty, master's, humanities and social sciences: a paper presented (not a poster) at an outside academic conference with 3 or more registered presenters, at least 1 from another institution
- Master's in arts and physical education: a prize at a contest of city or province scale or larger, or taking part in an exhibition or competition run by a recognised Korean body
- Paper duty, PhD: medicine, science and engineering, lead author in an SCIE-level, "SCOUPS" (as printed) or National Research Foundation listed journal
- PhD in humanities, social sciences, arts and physical education: lead author in a National Research Foundation candidate-listed journal
- You pay a semester with the 85% award (2026 basis): humanities and social sciences master's 667,100 won, PhD 692,700; natural sciences 792,600, PhD 822,450; engineering, arts and PE 914,700, PhD 948,800; medicine 1,018,800, PhD 1,129,200
- You pay a semester with the 50% award: humanities and social sciences master's 2,223,500 won, PhD 2,309,000; natural sciences 2,642,000, PhD 2,741,500; engineering, arts and PE 3,049,000, PhD 3,162,500; medicine 3,396,000, PhD 3,764,000
- The 2026 leaflet prints 822,500 for the natural sciences PhD line with the 85% award; the dated guide prints 822,450, shown above
- For a paper to count, your adviser must be a co-author or the corresponding author. A paper shared by several scholarship students counts for one of them only
- If you give up full-time status you must repay the whole scholarship. If you withdraw or take leave for personal reasons, the award paid must be returned (scholarship form)
- Humanities and social sciences master's students may meet the paper duty by the medicine, science and engineering standard instead; arts and physical education master's students by either of the other two
- The part-time scholarship form (attachment 4-1) also lists 15% of tuition for families with two students enrolled. The guide does not describe that award: ask the office
- Stage 4 BK21 departments (U-Design, Digital Anti-Aging Health Care, Counseling Psychotherapy): the guide prints the BK research scholarship for their full-time students and nothing on how it is awarded or for how long. Ask the department
