K-Global Korea Scholarship (K-GKS)
A provincial scholarship for international students taking a science or engineering master or doctorate in Gyeongsangbuk-do. It supports the flight, the tuition or Korean language training, and pays academic incentives, for two years on a master and three on a doctorate. The province does not publish the amounts where we have looked.

Who can apply
- You are an international student on a master or doctoral programme in science or engineering
- The programme is in Gyeongsangbuk-do, the province around Pohang, Gyeongju and Andong
- Two years of support on a master, three on a doctorate
- The programme is aimed at helping graduates settle in the province afterwards, not only at studying there
- Waegook has not found the province's own page for this, so no amount, deadline or quota is shown. POSTECH points applicants at the Gyeongsangbuk-do site for updates
