Who can apply
- New and transfer international undergraduates, Samcheok and Dogye campuses (Spring 2027 guide, "신입생 특별 장학금")
- A new TOPIK score earned after you apply changes the award only before the school assigns it: ask the Samcheok Planning and Research Support Division for the date
- The guide prints no period for these awards; the school's undated scholarship page says the first semester after admission
- From semester 2: 12 credits, GPA 2.5 and TOPIK 3 (English track IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL 79): top 1% full, top 5% Tuition 2, top 10% half of Tuition 2, top 30% Tuition 1, within the budget
- Kangwon's scholarship rules of 1 October 2026 print that later English bar as TOEFL 86 (4.5), not 79, and add English-track scores for the TOPIK 5 line (IELTS 7.0, TOEFL 94) and TOPIK 4 line (IELTS 6.5, TOEFL 86): ask
