Sookmyung graduate entrance and merit scholarships for international students (by language score)
First semester by language score alone, no form: grade A 70% of tuition, B 50%, C 40%, D 30%. The guide prints each share as a share of 수업료, and the entrance fee is not included. From semester two, 20 to 50% of tuition by the previous semester's grade (3.5 or higher on a 4.3 scale). A paper in an international journal can earn 100% of tuition after review.

Who can apply
- Students admitted through the international track and chosen in the school's scholarship selection (세계지역핵심인재), judged 100% on the language score. No form: the result shows with the admission result
- A language score handed in after the interview date does not count for the entrance scholarship
- English-track applicants exempt from a score (a national of an English-speaking country with a degree from that country) are scored as TOEFL 5 to 5.5 (100 to 113)
- Holders of a Korean degree or an overseas Korean language major who file no score are scored as TOPIK 4
- As printed, TOEFL iBT scores of 95 to 99 fall in no band: grade C ends at 94 and grade B starts at 100. Ask the office
- From semester two (master's 4 and PhD 4 regular semesters): automatic, with 6 credits or more earned in courses that are not pass or fail; supplementary courses do not count; paid only to students with medical insurance
- Paper award: student as first author and a full-time professor as corresponding author, in an international journal counted in the public disclosure. Apply by e-mail to the student services team (studyabroad@sm.ac.kr) within the period
- TOPIK scholarship (student services page, not in the Spring 2027 guide): for general graduate students from the international or government-invited track who did not hold TOPIK 4 and earn it within 1 year of entry
