First semester by language: TOPIK 6, IELTS 7, TOEFL iBT 100 or TOEIC 900 pays nothing; TOPIK 5 or IELTS 6.5 gets 80% off; TOPIK 4 or IELTS 5.5 60%; native or four-year English-educated applicants 40%; TOPIK 3 30%; department recommendation 20%. Later semesters 20 to 80% by score and GPA, rising to 100% with the 20% internationalisation duty (interpreting or co-authoring).

- New international graduate students for Spring 2027; every award passes a review each semester on department recommendation, and the department may lower the rate
- Holders keep national health insurance and student insurance every semester and assist teaching or labs up to ten hours a week

Score plus previous-semester GPA 3.5 or 4.0 by tier; a C grade or a GPA under 3.5 drops the award to 20%
