For foreign investors and staff of foreign-invested companies.

Who it is for

• D-8-1 · Investment in a Korean company The main route: ₩100,000,000 or more invested in a completed Korean legal entity, holding at least 10% of the voting shares, or holding shares together with a contract to dispatch or appoint an...
• D-8-2 · Venture business founder Founders of a venture business who hold venture certification, or whose technology has been assessed as strong. Two years' stay, or six months for a pre-venture company.
• D-8-4 · Technology founder An associate degree or higher obtained in Korea, or a bachelor's or higher obtained abroad, or a recommendation from the competent ministry: together with intellectual property or equivalent...
• D-8-3 · Foreign-invested business run by a Korean individual Essential professional staff in management or production technology at a foreign-invested business operated by a Korean individual.
• Change of status with a substantial investment Changing to investment status inside Korea is refused in principle from statuses that do not permit it.

What the check asks

The check asks 5 questions, for example: Where are you applying from, Which describes you, How much has been invested, What does the investment give you. Your answers are never stored.

Documents a result can list

The result lists the documents for your route. Depending on your answers, they include:

• Application form, passport, a standard photo and the fee
• Foreign-invested company registration certificate
• Business registration certificate and corporate registry extract
• Original statement of shareholder changes
• Evidence the investment funds were brought in
• Application form (No. 34), passport and residence card, one standard photo
• Investment-funds import evidence
• Tax evidence and business performance
• Business premises and residence evidence
• Application form (No. 34), passport (original), one standard photo, and the fee (registration filing)
