D-9 eligibility check

For international trade and business management activity.

Who it is for

• D-9-1 · Registered trader Traders holding a trade business number issued by the Korea International Trade Association under the Foreign Trade Act.
• Running a company in Korea Setting up a company in Korea and operating it, or otherwise carrying on profit-making business.
• Installing or maintaining imported industrial equipment Dispatched or invited by the company that imported the equipment, to provide the technical skills needed to install, operate, maintain or service it.
• Shipbuilding or plant manufacturing supervision Essential professionals dispatched by the ordering company, or a specialist firm it designates: executives, senior managers and technical experts.
• Korean postgraduate investor A dedicated route: holding (or about to hold) a master's degree or higher from a Korean university on a student or job-seeker status, and investing ₩100,000,000 or more.

What the check asks

The check asks 6 questions, for example: Where are you applying from, What would you do in Korea, What status do you hold right now, Which working-holiday agreement are you on. Your answers are never stored.

Documents a result can list

The result lists the documents for your route. Depending on your answers, they include:

• Application form, passport, a standard photo and the fee
• Inviting company's business registration certificate or corporate registry extract
• Annual tax payment certificate
• Application form (No. 34), passport, one standard photo, and the fee
• Business registration certificate (copy)
• Trade-business unique-number certificate (copy)
• Business-premises evidence
• Evidence for the trade points table
• Application form (No. 34), passport and residence card, and the fee
• Business registration and premises evidence
