About the E-4 visa
Providing specialist industrial or scientific technology to a Korean organisation that has invited you.
Who it is for
- Supplying advanced industrial technology For advanced industrial technology a Korean public or private organisation cannot obtain domestically.
- Dispatched by an overseas contractor For someone posted by an overseas service-contracting company to supply technology in a specialist industrial field.
- Supporting technology a Korean company has brought in For someone supplying specialist technology that a Korean industrial company has introduced.
What the check asks
The check asks 5 questions, for example: Where are you applying from, How is the work arranged, Is there a technology or service contract behind it, Is a Korean organisation bringing you in. Your answers are never stored.
Documents a result can list
The result lists the documents for your route. Depending on your answers, they include:
- Certificate of Visa Eligibility application, passport and a standard photo
- Documents establishing the Korean organisation
- The technology or service contract
- Dispatch order, or proof of employment with the sending company
- Application form (No. 34), passport and residence card, and the fee
- Dispatch order from the head office, or an employment certificate
- The technology contract evidence
- Business registration certificate (copy)
- Workplace change/addition report (annex No. 38-3), passport and residence card -- no fee
- The new workplace's business registration
