BEK Lodge is seeking 1 qualified Early Years Teachers to join its team in Seoul, South Korea, with a start date of November 2, 2026. Teachers will work with Pre-K students in a child-centred, play-based environment following the EYFS and National Curriculum of England. Each class is supported by both a Lead Teacher and a Korean co-teacher, creating a collaborative teaching environment with small class sizes of 12–16 students.

In this role, you will typically work collaboratively within a year group, sharing a classroom and co-teaching small groups of students alongside a dedicated Korean bilingual teacher. This partnership fosters a rich and supportive learning environment, allowing for tailored instruction and the seamless integration of both English language and Korean cultural perspectives. You will be responsible for creating a stimulating and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. You will play a pivotal role in inspiring a love of learning and fostering the holistic development of our primary pupils.

1. Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to the diverse learning needs of pupils in the assigned year group (Nursery).

• Create a positive, safe, and supportive classroom environment that promotes pupil well-being and encourages active participation.

• Implement effective teaching strategies to ensure high levels of pupil progress and attainment in line with school policies and curriculum frameworks.

• Assess, record, and report on pupil learning and development, providing constructive feedback to pupils and parents.

• Nurture the social and emotional development of pupils, fostering their independence, resilience, and positive relationships.

• Collaborate effectively with colleagues, including specialist teachers and support staff, to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to learning.

• Communicate effectively and professionally with parents regarding their child's progress and well-being.

• Contribute to the wider life of the school through participation in extracurricular activities, events, and professional development opportunities.

• Uphold and promote the school's safeguarding policies and procedures.

2. Requirements

• Native English Speaker

• A recognized teaching qualification such as a B.Ed, PGCE, or equivalent

• Holds or is eligible for the E-2 visa with USA, CAN, UK, AUS, NZ, IRE, or SA citizenship

• F-visa holders

• Apostilled Diploma and Criminal Background Check

• Must be physically and mentally healthy.

3. Working Conditions

• Student Age: Pre-K (Ages 33-4)

• Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:15am to 4:30pm

• Teaching Hours: 9:00am to 4:00pm (25 hours a week)

• Curriculum provided

• Teacher training provided

• Korean co-teacher present in the classroom for bilingual teaching.

• Teaching Staff: 9 Native English Teachers and 12 Korean Teachers

• No. of students per class: 12 students (aged 3-4), 16 Students (aged 4-5)
