Open-Rank Tenured and Tenure-Track Faculty (All Lectures in English After Appointment) — Sejong University (Seoul)

Sejong University is running an open-rank round for tenured and tenure-track faculty, and the announcement is published in English. The clearest signal for a foreign applicant is the university's own line that, in principle, all lectures should be conducted in English after appointment.

■ Duties
- Teaching and research as a member of the faculty. Several fields ask for applicants able to teach courses in both English and Korean.

■ Fields
- The notice lists one opening per field across a wide range, including AI convergence electronic engineering covering 6G open networks and intelligent systems engineering; semiconductor systems engineering covering AI semiconductor design with NPU and SoC architecture and high-bandwidth memory, and power semiconductors; computer science and engineering covering artificial intelligence and computer systems; and quantum information science and engineering covering quantum sensing and quantum photonic semiconductors. ■ Who can apply
- A PhD in the relevant field. Publication requirements vary by field, and some fields count only work where you are sole, first or corresponding author. Applicants with industry experience are preferred in the semiconductor fields.

■ What helps a foreign applicant
- The notice states that in principle all lectures are conducted in English after appointment.
- Certificates from institutions in countries where English is not the language must be submitted with an English translation of the original text, and a translated paper must carry the translator's name and signature. Documents already in English are accepted as they stand.
- Recommendation letters are only needed at the interview stage.

■ Terms
- Appointment as tenure-track faculty under the relevant laws and university regulations. If there are several suitable candidates, the university may appoint more people than the number of posts advertised; if there are none, it may appoint nobody.
