Tenure-Track Faculty, Structural Engineering (All Teaching in English) — KAIST (Daejeon)

KAIST is recruiting tenure-track faculty in structural engineering for its Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. The notice is published in English and states that all teaching is done in English.

■ Duties
- Research and teaching in structural engineering. The areas named are structural engineering in general, sustainable and resilient materials and structures, structural sensing and monitoring, AI-enhanced computational mechanics and digital twins, and structural reliability and risk.

- A PhD-level degree. Candidates who expect the degree must pass the final thesis examination within nine months of applying and hold the degree by the time the appointment starts. The notice states that applicants are expected to teach all their courses in English. A Korean military-service clause appears, which applies to Korean male citizens and not to foreign applicants.
