Paper plane contest on the Han River: sign up Saturday

Seoul is holding a paper aeroplane competition at the Han River, and you have to sign up this Saturday to take part.

Date: Saturday 10 October 2026, 10:00 to 18:00
Place: Yeouido Hangang Park, Nogeumsu Plaza, Seoul
Price: Free, including entry to the competition
Booking: Yes, from Saturday 19 September at 10:00, online only
Good for: Families, children and friends

How the sign-up works:

• 700 places in total: 500 for throwing the longest distance, 200 for the longest flight time
• Age groups run from kindergarten to adult
• The entry links open at 10:00 on the festival page and fill up in order
• You need a Naver login, and one entry per person
• There is no sign-up on the day and no late entry

You can still come without a place. Watching the finals is free, and so are the games on the day, the paper folding activities, a demonstration by an international champion and the performances.

Getting there: Yeouinaru Station (Line 5), Exit 3, about 7 minutes on foot. The Han River bus pier at Yeouido is about 5 minutes away.
