What do I need?
- Admission application, online
- Your most recent graduation certificate and transcripts for every year
- Bank balance certificate in English: over 10,000,000 won, held 3 months or more, issued within the last month. The amount must be shown in KRW
- Family relationship or birth documentation
- Guarantee letter, if needed, and documents for your guarantor
- Passport copy
- Your parents' employment and income certificates, in English
- Submit an apostille certificate or an original certificate authenticated by a Korean consulate.
- If your documents are not in Korean or English, submit an original notarized translation.
- If your family lives in Korea, submit a copy of the family member's foreign registration card.
- If your parents are divorced or deceased, submit a fact confirmation certificate.
- If you submit through an agent, the agent must be your guarantor and bears all legal responsibility.
A notarisation is not enough. Ajou requires an apostille or a Korean consular confirmation on your diploma and transcript, and says a consulate receipt or simple notarisation will not be accepted.
Insurance is covered by the centre while you are enrolled on a D-4 visa.
National health insurance is compulsory for international students separately, by government rule.
Applicants from one listed country have their own document list on Ajou's page. Their bank balance is RMB 40,000 or more, held about 9 months (the English page misprints it as "RMB 40,000 KRW").
Documents in any other language need a notarised translation.
