What do I need?
- Application form, personal-data consent and interview card. The guide says to download them from the graduate forms board, which held no files on 21 October 2026: ask the office
- Language proof matching your department's rule; and the original bank balance certificate (see the notes)
- Degree papers, notarised translation originals: master's and integrated, bachelor's graduation (or expected) and degree certificates; PhD, bachelor's and master's. Papers issued in English need no translation
- Korean universities: Korean and English copies issued within 3 months; one of the two is enough if one paper shows your English name and degree registration number together
- Universities in China, as printed: graduates file a CHSI 학력인증보고서 and 학위증명서 (English) plus copies of the school's own degree and graduation certificates; expected graduates a CHSI 학적보고서 or a notarised expected certificate
- No expected-graduation certificate yet: a certificate of enrolment is accepted. Certificates printed online from a Korean university count only as originals that can be verified
- Transcripts in English showing GPA or percentage (PhD: bachelor's and master's); transfer students include the earlier school
- Accredited-university proof: the WHED page, the embassy's certificate, a Korean consular 재외교육확인서, or for US universities a DAPIP or CHEA printout. Not needed for Korean or Chinese degrees
- Passport copy (local ID if none; notarised translation if not in English); alien registration card copy if held. Chinese nationals, as printed: "본인의 현지 신분증 사본(번역공증 불필요)"
- If it applies: divorce judgment naming custody (plus remarriage and hukou papers), a death certificate, or proof that Korean nationality was lost or renounced
THE BANK BALANCE IS 20,000,000 WON (OR US$20,000) OR MORE: an original issued within 30 days of the visa application. Applicants who need a visa file it with the final certificates (Fall 2026: by 12 June or 31 July 2026).
No reduced amount and no country rule are printed for the graduate bank certificate. Whose name it must be in is not printed.
Application fee 100,000 won, paid when you apply (postal applicants are told how separately); not refunded unless the school cancels the selection.
Fall 2026: results 5 June and 24 July 2026 (individual notice); tuition 5 to 12 June or 24 to 31 July (not paying counts as giving up the place); admission letters 19 June and 7 August; classes began 1 September 2026.
On the form: your English name as in your passport, and your university, degree number and GPA exactly as on your certificates (do not round; PhD: the exact graduate school). False papers cancel the admission, even after entry.
Dormitory: the guide prints no cost. The international office's Global Village hall charged enrolled students 800,000 won plus a 50,000 won deposit a semester (notice of 2026-08-18); whether new students can apply is not printed.

- SELECTION: master's and integrated, documents 90% + interview 10%; PhD, major exam 50% + documents 25% + interview 25%

- You and both parents hold foreign nationality (순수외국인)
- Master's and integrated courses: a bachelor's (Fall 2026 entry: earned by 21 August 2026) or equal. PhD: a master's or equal. Final admits file the apostilled or consular-confirmed final certificate, or no admission letter
- KOREAN: TOPIK 3 or higher (TOPIK IBT counts; trial tests do not), valid on the application opening date, unless this programme's own line says otherwise
- TO GRADUATE: TOPIK 4 or higher in every department outside the bilingual courses (English and Chinese tracks)
- One department only; after the deadline you cannot change it or cancel. Places: "a few" per course, and the school may select no one
- From a different field: ask the graduate office (+82-31-467-0854) about extra credits. Freshmen cannot take leave in their first semester
- ENTRANCE FEE, once: 750,000 won (900,000 won for a General Graduate School PhD). Tuition is printed as a semester ("수업료는 한 학기에 납부 금액"), 2026 rates
- Tuition goes only to the Shinhan Bank account on the bill; no credit cards. Fall 2026: full refund if you withdrew by 14 August 2026, 15:00. An e-visa fee of 120,000 won is extra for those it applies to
