What do I need?

• Application form (school form; M.Div.: three photos; Th.M. and M.A.: one photo). Self-introduction with confession of faith and reasons for applying. Consent to the use of personal data
• M.Div.: presbytery recommendation (compulsory for men, not filed by women; a reason letter if missing), session moderator's recommendation, baptism certificate
• M.Div.: bachelor's graduation (or expected) certificate and transcript with percentage scores, issued within 1 month
• M.Div.: detailed family relation certificate and marriage relation certificate (unmarried applicants too), issued within 1 month
• M.Div., graduates of foreign universities: immigration record certificate (출입국 사실 증명서) and notarised degree certificate (학위 공증서)
• Th.M.: graduation certificates and transcripts (percentage scores) of the university and the seminary, issued within 1 month; career or employment certificate (counted in the interview)
• M.A.: graduation certificate and transcript of the previous university, issued within 1 month; career or employment certificate (counted in the interview)

Application fee M.Div. 70,000 won, Th.M. and M.A. 80,000 won (filing, document review and interview); not refunded after the deadline.

Deposit 300,000 won on 14 to 16 December 2026; tuition early February 2027 (printed as tentative, 예정); no card for the first semester.

TUITION NOT PRINTED in the seminary guide. The international office's 2024 notice: master's 4,000,000 won (본 등록금), billed 2,300,000 or 2,600,000 after reduction, for its own courses.

The notice is dated 2026-07-16 but its four files carry 2026-10-27 upload stamps (re-uploaded); the files listed on the notice now were read.

Dormitory (Yongin campus, notice of 2026-07-13): 600,000 won a semester, meals excluded, plus 20,000 won hall association fee. Nothing printed about international students: ask +82-31-270-8931.

All requirements

• Spring 2027 Theological Seminary guide (Korean; notice of 2026-07-16, attachments re-uploaded 2026-10-27). It prints no tuition and no language rule; it does print papers for graduates of foreign universities
• M.Div.: a bachelor's (held or expected) or an equal level; baptised 4 years or more ago (before 28 February 2023; infant baptism counts 4 years after joining a church, write the date). The special admission is for Calvin graduates only
• Th.M.: a bachelor's and an M.Div. from a theological seminary, or an equal level. M.A.: a bachelor's (held or expected) or an equal level
• Interview 25 November 2026 at 14:00: arrive at least 10 minutes before your time. Results 1 December 2026 at 14:00 on the school home page, www.calvin.ac.kr. Interview scores are not disclosed
• Selection: documents (bachelor's grades as a percentage) 100 points and an interview 200 points (eligibility, calling and character, vision for ministry). Disqualifying grounds listed in the guide are reviewed by the admissions committee
• GRADUATES OF FOREIGN UNIVERSITIES (as printed): all papers in a foreign language translated into Korean and notarised, English excepted; proof that the university is recognised (apostille, or a confirmation from the Korean consulate there)
• M.Div. applicants from foreign universities add an immigration record certificate (출입국 사실 증명서) and a notarised degree certificate (학위 공증서)
• Application fee: M.Div. 70,000 won; Th.M. and M.A. 80,000 won, Shinhan Bank 100-034-742834, account name 칼빈대학교, paid in your own name; not refunded after the deadline
• Papers by registered post or in person only (Saturdays and Sundays closed), in the guide's order, originals only; not returned. Expected graduates file the graduation certificate by 19 February 2027 or the admission is cancelled
• First-year students may not take leave in their first semester (military service and illness excepted). After an M.Div. here, two weeks at Chongshin Seminary give the right to sit the denomination's licensing exam that year
• TUITION: not printed in the seminary guide. The international office's 2024 notice prints 4,000,000 won (본 등록금) for its own master's courses; whether it applies to the seminary is not printed. Ask +82-31-284-4484
• Deposit 300,000 won, 14 to 16 December 2026 (Shinhan virtual account, no card); tuition early February 2027, printed as tentative (예정). Entrance fee: amount not printed
• VISA, students in Korea (page 46, undated, master's): balance 20,000,000 won (2 copies, within 1 week of the office visit), remittance proof, 6-month statement, housing contract; fee 135,000 won cash. International office 02-715-6435
