What you pay

Official figures from the source page on the date checked. Estimates are Waegook's. Unknown is shown as not published, never as zero.

A scholarship below can remove the tuition line.

What can I study?

Published by Calvin University. Which of these a scholarship covers is decided by the school.

What do I need?

• Application form (school form) with three 3 x 4 cm photos attached
• Graduation certificate and transcript of your bachelor's, one each
• Self-introduction; career or employment certificate (counted in the interview); consent to the collection and use of personal data
• Foreign university papers: translated and notarised. The eligibility footnote reads "외국인의 경우 석사 학위 소지자" (foreigners: master's degree holders); ask the office whether it applies to the M.A.

Application fee: 80,000 won (M.A.) or 100,000 won (Ph.D., Th.D., Hu.D.), to Shinhan Bank 100-034-742834, account name 칼빈대학교, paid in your own name. It covers filing, document review and interview. Not refunded after the deadline for any reason.

Deposit 300,000 won on 14 to 16 December 2026 (Shinhan virtual account, no card). Tuition early February 2027 (the guide marks it tentative, 예정); the first semester cannot be paid by card.

TUITION NOT IN THE 2027 GUIDE. Newest international figure: master's 본 등록금 4,000,000 won, billed 2,300,000 (Korean course) or 2,600,000 (English course), notice of 2024-02-13. No doctorate tuition printed anywhere. No period printed.

Entrance fee: amount not printed at any level.

BANK (page 46, undated): new master's students changing to D-2 in Korea file a 20,000,000 won balance certificate (2 copies), remittance proof and a 6-month statement, issued within 1 week of the office visit; fee 135,000 won cash.

The international office's 2022-1 graduate guide (posted 2021) asked applicants abroad for a bank certificate of USD 20,000 or more issued within 30 days, plus parents' income papers; no newer graduate figure is printed.

Dormitory (Yongin campus, notice of 2026-07-13): 600,000 won a semester, meals excluded, plus 20,000 won hall association fee. Nothing printed about international students: ask +82-31-270-8931.

All requirements

• M.A.: a bachelor's from a university in Korea or abroad, or an equal level recognised. The guide's footnote adds, for the whole guide, "외국인의 경우 석사 학위 소지자" (a foreigner must hold a master's): ask the office how it reads for the M.A.
• Interview 26 November 2026 at 10:00, place to be announced. Results 1 December 2026 at 14:00 on www.calvin.ac.kr. Application fee 80,000 won. Career or employment certificate counts in the interview
• This is the school's Spring 2027 General Graduate School guide (Korean, posted 2026-10-20), written for all applicants; foreigners appear in its eligibility footnote and its translation rule. No international graduate guide since 2021
• FOREIGNERS (as printed): "※단, 외국인의 경우 석사 학위 소지자" (foreigners: holders of a master's degree), printed in the Hu.D. line and again as a footnote under the whole eligibility table, M.A. row included
• Foreign university graduation and transcript papers must be translated and notarised ("외국대학교 졸업 및 성적증명서는 필히 번역 공증을 받아서 제출"). The guide adds an apostille explanation and the member-country list
• Selection: interview 200 points and documents 100 points, 300 in all. False papers cancel the admission; incomplete sets are not accepted; papers and fees are not returned
• Applications are taken by post (must ARRIVE by 20 November 2026) or in person at the school; Saturdays and Sundays closed. Postal accidents are not accepted as a reason
• Deposit (예치금) 300,000 won, 14 to 16 December 2026, to your own Shinhan virtual account, no card. Tuition early February 2027, printed as tentative (예정); invoice printable when you check the pass list; no card for the first semester
• TUITION: the 2027 guide prints none. The international office's notice of 2024-02-13 prints 본 등록금 4,000,000 won for a master's, billed as 2,300,000 (Korean course) or 2,600,000 (English course) after the reduction. No doctorate figure
• That notice names no department and prints no period; the 2026 handbook (p.29) bills tuition in the last week of February and of August. Entrance fee: amount not printed (the refund rule excludes 입학금). Graduate office +82-31-284-4484
• LANGUAGE: the 2027 guide prints no rule. The international office's 2022-1 guide: Korean course TOPIK 3 (TOPIK 4 by graduation); English course TOEFL iBT 71 (CBT 197, PBT 530), IELTS 5.5, English-medium schooling, or an interview check
• Teaching language: the 2027 guide prints none. The international office's 2024 leaflet marks its graduate programmes "Korean, English Track"; its Introduction page says all programmes run in English and Korean. Confirm with the office
• TO GRADUATE (2026 handbook pp.24 to 26): master's 36 credits, no F, tuition paid. Exam: Korean track English and major papers with TOPIK 4, plus Korean without it; English track the major paper with IELTS 5.5, plus English without it
• VISA, students in Korea (page 46, undated, "신입 석사 과정"): balance certificate 20,000,000 won (2 copies, within 1 week of the office visit), remittance proof, 6-month statement, housing contract; fee 135,000 won cash
• D-2 EXTENSION (2026 handbook p.10): fee 60,000 won; balance 10,000,000 won or more after paying the next semester's tuition, remitted by your parents. PART-TIME WORK: 30 hours a week with TOPIK 4 or IELTS 5.5, else 15 (p.14)
• Dormitory (dormitory office notice of 2026-07-13): 600,000 won a semester, meals excluded, plus a 20,000 won hall association fee. Nothing printed about international students: ask +82-31-270-8931
