All requirements
- NO SPRING 2027 GUIDE YET (checked 31 October 2026), so no dates are shown. Newest freshman guide: Fall 2024 (Korean, posted 2024-12-04). Tuition is the notice of 2024-02-13; English course rules are from the Spring 2023 guide
- ENGLISH COURSE (2022 guide, English post): IELTS 5.5 or higher; TOEFL iBT 71 or higher (CBT 197, PBT 530, as printed on the old scale); or all 12 years of school taught in English, or from a country where English is the official language
- Or pass the school's own English test and admission interview; then you must obtain and file IELTS 5.5 or higher before graduation. The 2024 leaflet asks "IELTS 5.5 or HIGHER" as the language paper
- The school's 2027 admission plan (revised 2026-07-13) keeps both foreigner admission types, for March and September entry, in a rolling "모집기간" window; quotas are printed "00". Dates and fees come only with the guide
- The 2022 English post words it: "completed all educational courses (12 years) equivalent to Korean elementary and secondary education", or applicant and parents all foreign nationals
- The Spring 2026 TRANSFER guide (2025-09-15) adds for its 부모 모두 외국인 type: GED-type exams, homeschooling, cyber learning and language schools do not count as regular schooling; a dual national (applicant or a parent Korean) cannot apply
- TUITION (2024 notice, 신입학 지원자): 본 등록금 3,650,000 won; the school takes off 1,450,000 (Korean course) or 1,250,000 (English course) and bills 2,200,000 or 2,400,000. No period printed; no newer table
- The 2026 handbook (p.29) bills tuition in the last week of February and the last week of August, so the amounts are read as one semester. Entrance fee (입학금): amount not printed; the refund rule excludes it
- REFUND (notice of 2024-02-13; handbook pp.30 and 31): all of it before the semester starts; then 5/6, 4/6 and 3/6 of 수업료 (tuition, entrance fee excluded) in months 1, 2 and 3; nothing after 3 months. Refunds use 본 등록금
- Tuition goes to your own Shinhan virtual account printed on the invoice (종합학사정보시스템); no card; school papers are issued only after full payment. Installments (2 at most) only by visiting the Seoul office
- Selection (Fall 2024 guide; 2027 plan): documents 40 and interview 60 (online), no CSAT minimum; missing the interview means failing. Apply online, then papers by visit or express mail, arriving by 16:00 on the deadline day
- Papers and fees are not returned (fee refunds only in the legal cases the guide lists). Results on www.calvin.ac.kr from 10:00 on the result day, not sent to you; download the letter and invoice there and pay in the window (Fall 2024 guide)
- Papers not in Korean need a notarised Korean translation; if your name differs between papers, add a court certificate from your country that they are the same person (Fall 2024 guide, items 13 and 14)
- MAJORS the international office recruits (2022 guide): 글로벌문화경영학과 (Global Culture Management), 복지상담학과 (Welfare Counseling), 반려동물학과 (Companion Animal), 신학과 (Theology). Each in a Korean course or an English course (2024 leaflet)
- The 2027 plan names 글로벌문화경영학과 "외국인 전담학과" (a department for foreign students only) and lists foreigner columns for 신학과, 사회복지학과, 반려동물산업학과 (new name) and 스포츠지도학과
- The admission office's Fall 2024 and Spring 2026 transfer guides also recruit foreigners into 스포츠지도학과 (Sports Coaching). The international office's tuition notice and leaflet do not name it: ask its tuition
- Classes: Monday and Tuesday, 15 to 21 credits a semester, at least 6 in year 4 (2022 academic rules). Notices of February 2025 split students into Monday-Tuesday, Thursday-Friday and Wednesday groups
- TO GRADUATE: 120 credits, no F grade, tuition paid in full (2026 handbook p.24). File a TOPIK 4 (Korean track) or IELTS 5.5 (English track) certificate; without it you sit a Korean or English graduation exam (pp.25 and 26)
- Academic warning with a semester GPA of 1.5 or lower; 3 in a row or 5 in all means expulsion (2026 handbook p.22). A summer or winter session for an F grade costs 300,000 won a course, 2 courses at most (p.23)
- VISA, students already in Korea (page 46, undated): balance certificate 20,000,000 won (2 copies, issued within 1 week of the office visit), overseas remittance proof, 6-month statement, housing contract; fee 135,000 won cash
- You must live in Seoul, Gyeonggi or Incheon ("서울, 경기, 인천 수도권 거주 의무", page 46). D-2 EXTENSION (2026 handbook p.10): fee 60,000 won; balance 10,000,000 won or more after paying the next semester's tuition
- The extension money must be a remittance from your parents in your home country, kept in the account; large withdrawals can fail the extension (handbook pp.10 and 11). Enrolment and transcript papers come only after tuition is paid
- PART-TIME WORK (2026 handbook p.14; page 43 undated): years 1 and 2 need TOPIK 3, KIIP 3 or King Sejong intermediate 1 (English course IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL iBT 71) for 25 hours a week, else 10. Years 3 and 4: TOPIK 4, same English bar
- Dormitory (dormitory office notice of 2026-07-13): 바울관 men's and women's halls 600,000 won a semester, meals excluded, plus a 20,000 won hall association fee a semester. The notice does not say whether international students may apply: ask
- Office hours of the Seoul office: weekdays 09:00 to 16:00, lunch 12:00 to 13:00, visits until 11:30 (2026 handbook p.36), 02-715-6435. The school warns its assistants may not refer applicants to outside agencies (notice of 2024-02-28)
