What do I need?

• Application printed from uwayapply and three photos, 3.5 by 4.5 cm
• Graduation certificates and full transcripts with percentages; degree verification (apostille, consular or CHSI for China) before enrolment
• Personal statement and study plan; a recommendation letter from a president, dean or adviser
• TOPIK 3 certificate if held; English test if graduating on the English standard
• Passport copy and alien registration card if held; education verification consent
• Financial sponsorship form or a bank balance in your own name; family relationship certificate (China: parents' Hukou) and both parents' nationality proof
• Schooled 16 years abroad: every school certificate and proof of overseas residence

THE BANK BALANCE IS USD 13,000, CNY 90,000 OR 18,000,000 WON or more in your own name (Fall 2026 guide); Chinese deposits frozen three months or more.

Application fee 50,000 won.

TUITION IS PRINTED ONLY ON THE ENGLISH SITE, undated and "after the foreign student scholarship": humanities 3,843,000, engineering and arts 4,827,000 a semester for a master's, plus an admission fee of 800,000. Confirm with the graduate school.

All requirements

• NEWEST GUIDES ARE 2026. The Spring 2027 graduate guide was not posted on 25 September 2026; the school posts guides in May and November
• You and both parents are foreign nationals, or you did all 16 years of schooling abroad
• A bachelor's (or expected) from a four-year university for a master's; a master's for a PhD; any previous major, with prerequisite courses if different
• LANGUAGE: send TOPIK 3 if you hold it. Without any TOPIK you complete 300 hours of Korean (100 for bilingual and short courses). English-taught departments accept TOEFL iBT 71, IELTS 5.5 or New TEPS 326
• Selection: documents 100 plus an oral exam 50, pass at 90 of 150; below 20 on the oral exam fails. Oral exam online from abroad
• TOPIK 4 to graduate (3 for arts and sports), or KIIP 4 or Sejong intermediate 2; bilingual, English-track and government scholars exempt
• Departments reserved for foreigners include International Business, ESG Accounting, Performing Arts and the three-year "K-" programmes in management, hotel and tourism, language and culture content, trade and mechatronics
