What do I need?

• Application form printed after applying online at uwayapply, posted with the papers to the GSAIM office, room 506, building 301
• Bachelor's degree or expected-graduation certificate and the undergraduate transcript (China: notarised diploma and certificate plus CDGDC verification)
• Study plan on the GSAIM form; career certificate, awards and exhibition catalogue if you have them
• Track material: Game/VFX and Animation one work on USB or a 15-minute screenplay; Creative Development a project proposal; Film and OTT Series a 5 to 10 page critique; Media Art and AI Content an optional portfolio
• Original TOPIK, TOEFL iBT or IELTS score report
• Passport and ID copies, proof of nationality for both parents, and alien registration cards if held
• Official proof of your relationship to both parents (China: household register copy and notarised family register)
• Consent letter for school verification, for graduates of universities outside Korea and China

THE BANK BALANCE IS 20,000,000 WON, in your or a parent's name, asked only from admitted students for the Certificate of Admission and issued within 30 days of that request. Exempt if a university or government scholarship pays tuition and living costs.

Application fee 80,000 won, not refunded once paid.

Estimated living costs on the GCI site: housing 1,500,000 to 3,000,000 and meals 1,200,000 to 1,800,000 won a semester.

All requirements

• International applicants only. Korean nationals and Korean dual nationals cannot apply
• A bachelor's degree in any field, or one due by the first week of the semester. Online, correspondence, adult-education and self-study degrees and GED-type exams are not accepted
• LANGUAGE, one of (within two years, the original report sent with the application): TOPIK 4, TOEFL iBT 59 or IELTS 5.5. No conditional admission without a score
• Exempt from the score: a degree from a university in an English-speaking country; level 4 finished (or level 5 enrolled) at the Chung-Ang Korean Language Education Center; a Korean-language degree abroad or a four-year Korean degree
• Every course is taught in English. 36 credits over four semesters, ending with a thesis project: a written thesis or a graduation exhibition
• Selection: documents 100 plus an online Zoom interview 100. Below 60 on either is a fail, and missing the interview disqualifies you
• A professional degree from a professional graduate school (GSAIM). Tuition and admission fee refunded in full before the semester; the admission fee is not refunded after
