What can I study?

Published by Chungbuk National University. Which of these a scholarship covers is decided by the school.

What do I need?

• Online application at Jinhak Apply, Chungbuk's checklist (Form 1) and records consent (Form 2) Apply
• Affidavit of financial support (Form 3) and a bank balance certificate of 16,000,000 won
• High school graduation or expected-graduation certificate, apostilled or consular-verified. Two originals if you need a visa
• High school transcript for every year
• Proof of your parents' nationality and your family relationship
• Copy of your passport (Uzbek applicants: international passport), and your residence card if you live in Korea
• TOPIK 3 certificate, or Chungbuk language programme level 4 certificate
• Transfer applicants: university enrolment or graduation certificate and full transcript
• Fine Arts and Design: portfolio of up to 10 pieces in an A4 binder, with Form 4

EVERYTHING GOES BY POST OR BY HAND to the Office of International Affairs (N10, room 151). For fall 2026 the application ran 11 to 22 May, and school and nationality originals were accepted until 26 June.

SPRING 2027 DATES ARE NOT OUT YET. Chungbuk says its spring 2027 guide comes out in mid-October 2026. For spring 2026 the window was 13 to 24 October 2025.

The fee is 72,000 won (USD 72) and is not refunded.

BANK BALANCE: 16,000,000 won. In Korea: your own Korean account. From abroad: yours or a parent's, Korean or foreign bank. Copies by email are refused.

All requirements

• You and both parents are non-Korean and you finished schooling equivalent to Korea's, or you did all of your schooling abroad
• Homeschooling, cyber study or an equivalency exam is NOT accepted. Dual Korean nationality is not accepted
• TOPIK 3, or level 4 of Chungbuk's own Korean Language Program. Coming from that programme, you must be enrolled in its term just before admission
• TOPIK 4 ONLY, with no language-programme route, for Korean Language and Literature, Sociology, Psychology, Public Administration, Economics, Business, Management Information Systems, Agricultural Economics and Child Welfare
• Department interview, in person, or by video or phone if you are abroad
• First-semester TOPIK scholarship: about 80% off at TOPIK 5, 40% at TOPIK 4, 20% at TOPIK 3
