What can I study?

Published by Chungbuk National University. Which of these a scholarship covers is decided by the school.

What do I need?

• Online application at Jinhak Apply, Chungbuk's checklist and records consent Apply
• Affidavit of financial support and a bank balance certificate of 16,000,000 won
• High school graduation or expected-graduation certificate, apostilled or consular-verified
• High school transcript for every year
• Proof of your parents' nationality and your family relationship
• Copy of your passport, and your residence card if you live in Korea
• The language certificate for your track (TOPIK, Chungbuk language programme, or an English test), valid within two years of the start date

EVERYTHING GOES BY POST OR BY HAND to the Office of International Affairs (N10, room 151), and language certificates within the application window.

SPRING 2027 DATES ARE NOT OUT YET. For spring 2026 this school's window was 13 to 24 October 2025.

The fee is 72,000 won (USD 72).

All requirements

• Three tracks: Korean, English or Chinese. You choose one when you apply
• Chinese track: you and both parents are foreign nationals, Mandarin is your native language, and you hold TOPIK 2 or Chungbuk language level 3
• You and both parents are non-Korean and you finished schooling equivalent to Korea's, or you did all of your schooling abroad
• Homeschooling, cyber study or an equivalency exam is NOT accepted
• Year one is general and Korean-language courses; education courses start in year two
• Department interview, in person, or by video or phone if you are abroad
• First-semester TOPIK scholarship: about 80% off at TOPIK 5, 40% at TOPIK 4, 20% at TOPIK 3. The Global Education page itself still says 10% at TOPIK 3
