What do I need?

• Application form with one photograph attached
• Graduation certificate and transcript from your last school. ORIGINALS if you are applying from abroad, copies if you already live in Korea
• Apostille or consular verification on those, if the school is outside Korea
• Proof of family relationship, original, showing your nationality and every family member
• Bank balance certificate, 8,000,000 won, in your name or a parent's, issued within 30 days. OVERSEAS APPLICANTS ONLY
• Passport copy
• Residence card, front and back, if you already live in Korea
• A parent's income statement and employment certificate or business licence, where it applies
• A Korean guarantor's letter, their ID copy and their employment certificate, where it applies
• Marriage certificate, if you are married to a Korean citizen

IF YOU ALREADY LIVE IN KOREA, CHUNGBUK DOES NOT ASK FOR A BANK BALANCE. The 8,000,000 rule is on the overseas list only. Do not send yourself to a bank for it.

Chinese applicants replace the apostille with a CHSI academic verification report.

Its own page disagrees with itself on one point: the resident row says a COPY of your diploma, and the general heading says originals. Ask the centre which applies to you.

FOR A DORMITORY PLACE you must show two doses of measles vaccination, or a positive antibody test, in Korean, Chinese or English, by a separate dormitory deadline.

And for the summer and winter terms there is no dormitory place for new students at all while the halls are being rebuilt.

Already a Chungbuk student? Your enrolment certificate and transcript replace the graduation documents entirely.

SPRING 2027 DATES ARE NOT OUT YET. For spring 2026 the overseas window ran 17 November to 26 December 2025, and to 6 February 2026 for people already in Korea.

All requirements

• Applicant must be a foreigner or overseas Korean who completed or is expected to complete high school or equivalent education before the course begins.
• Non-Chinese overseas applicants must submit their final graduation certificate and transcript with Apostille or consular verification; translations are subject to the same verification rule.
• The bank-balance certificate must show at least 8,000,000 in the applicant's or parent's name and must be issued within 30 days of the application.
• The published insurance fee is 100,000.
• Admission results and payment instructions are individually issued within two weeks of application submission.
• The standard admission certificate is sent within one week after the tuition-payment deadline.
• TWO DEADLINES PER TERM. Applying from outside Korea, you have the earlier one. Already holding a Korean residence visa, you have the later one, and for the winter term that is eight weeks more
• New students cannot take a dormitory place in the summer or winter terms while Chungbuk rebuilds its halls
