What do I need?
- Application (online at cukkli.catholic.ac.kr) and passport copy
- Final diploma and transcripts: originals notarised by a Korean consul or apostilled
- Bank balance certificate original; family relationship or birth certificate, original (apostille or notarised translation); Chinese nationals also a hukou copy
- Insurance policy copy by e-mail before entry; TOPIK certificate if you have one
THE BANK BALANCE IS 10,000,000 WON OR MORE in your or a parent's name, issued within 30 days of submission; a parent's statement needs a family relationship document.
Country rules printed by the institute: Vietnam USD 10,000 kept three months or a study-fund deposit confirmation; Uzbekistan USD 10,000 at a Korean bank's local branch, three months; China 30 days of freeze left.
Application fee 80,000 won once for new students (the refund page still says 60,000; the fee page and the August 2026 guide say 80,000). Tuition 1,500,000 won a term; clergy 750,000. Pay by transfer to a Woori Bank account only.
Refunds: full before the term (minus the fee and insurance); two thirds before a third of the hours; half up to half; nothing after.
Originals means papers issued (or notarised) by the school, bank or office; copies are not accepted. Papers and fee are not returned. Tell the institute if a visa was ever refused.
No dormitory price is printed on the institute pages or guides.

All requirements
- A high school diploma (held or expected) or equivalent; no age limit
- D-4 VISA needs at least two terms (six months) registered. D-4 applicants pay two or four terms up front, depending on nationality (full list below, as the institute prints it)
- Four terms up front (visa page list): all African countries, Ukraine, Nepal, Timor-Leste, Laos, Mongolia, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Uzbekistan, India, Kazakhstan, Cambodia,
- Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Pakistan, Philippines, Syria, Afghanistan, Yemen, Oman, Iraq, Iran, Palestine. The August 2026 guide's list differs by one country: ask the institute. Everyone must arrive before the term starts
- D-4 applicants should send documents at least a week before the deadline. Winter 2026 applications closed on 23 September 2026
- The international office page prints older windows (Spring 2027: 1 September to 30 November 2026); the institute's own schedule and August 2026 guide are newer and used here
- D-4-1 stay: first six months, then extended term by term, up to two years; extension fee 50,000 won online or 60,000 in person; low attendance (70% or less) can limit the extension
- Scholarships: a top-grades award each term and an ASEAN student award (no amounts printed); two or more terms here add 10% to the CUK undergraduate entrance scholarship
