- Korean Language and Culture
Published by The Catholic University of Korea. Which of these a scholarship covers is decided by the school.
What do I need?
- Application printed after applying online (signed) and the academic record check consent (school form)
- High school diploma (or expected): China, the education ministry certification report for general high schools (see the guide's table); elsewhere a notarised translation with consular legalisation or apostille, original
- Full high school transcripts with notarised translation and apostille (China) or consular legalisation or apostille (elsewhere); passport copy (photo page, valid six months or more)
- ID copies of you and both parents (passport copies accepted; IDs not in English or Chinese need a notarised translation)
- Family relationship proof issued on or after 1 March 2026 (China: notarised kinship certificate; elsewhere a government birth certificate with notarised translation); extra proof if parents are divorced or deceased
- If relevant: alien registration card copy (residents of Korea), TOPIK report or CUK institute certificate, practical-exam USB (music and voice)
- Transfers: college or university graduation or completion certificate and full transcripts instead of the high school papers (China: CHSI report in English plus the certificate copy); four-year completers add the high school diploma
THE BANK BALANCE IS 20,000,000 WON OR MORE, filed only after the result by admitted students (separate notice). The guide does not say in whose name.
Application fee 130,000 won (arts departments 150,000); not refunded after the window except by committee decision for causes outside your control.
Tuition due 12 to 15 January 2027 by 16:00 Korean time; visa documents issued about 21 January; classes from 2 March 2027.
Visa refused: admission cancelled and tuition refunded in full. No visa or no arrival within two weeks of the semester start can cancel admission. No leave of absence in the first semester.
Educational papers are checked against the originals: send one apostilled or consul-confirmed original plus one copy that includes the apostille or consular page.
Expected graduates: before entry, send the diploma copy, certificate and final transcript (notarised translation, apostille or consular check), or admission is cancelled; without them no visa letter is issued.
Health insurance is compulsory for international students throughout their studies; details go to registered students.
