A scholarship below can remove the tuition line.
What can I study?
- Theology (신학과): Master of Divinity (목회학석사, M.Div.)
Published by Daeshin University. Which of these a scholarship covers is decided by the school.
What do I need?
- International student application form on the school's form (attached DOCX), filled in in your own hand (자필), accepted only after the school has reviewed your papers and told you to apply
- University graduation (or expected) certificate, 1 copy; full university transcript, 1 copy (transfer students add the transcript from before the transfer)
- Entry and exit record (출입국사실증명서) for the student
- Family register of the whole family (printed for Chinese nationals: the hukou showing the family); proof of foreign nationality of father, mother and student (citizenship or passport copies)
- Alien registration card held in Korea (student; parents only if they have one)
- Financial sponsor papers (see the notes); study plan on the school's form; study-expense pledge on the school's form
- Proof of TOPIK 3 or higher, or KIIP stage 3 or higher
BANK BALANCE, as printed: the financial sponsor's deposit certificate of 16,000,000 won or more (8,000,000 won for applicants in Korea).
Or instead: a certificate of remittance or exchange into Korea of 16,000,000 won or more. Either paper is issued by a bank within the last month.
Also from the sponsor: employment certificate or business registration, property tax certificate, and the study-expense pledge.
Printed with it, whole: "네팔, 베트남, 우즈베키스탄, 카자흐스탄, 키르기스스탄 등 장관고시 21개 국가 출신 지원자는 재정서류 제출이 의무이며, 이외 국가는 재정서류 제출 면제 (인증대 기준)". Only these five of the 21 countries are named.
In English: applicants from the 21 countries on the Minister's list (Nepal, Vietnam, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and others) must file the financial papers; applicants from other countries are exempt (accredited-university basis).
APPLICATION FEE WAIVED, as printed: "전형료 : 면제 (신학대학원 · 휴먼케어대학원 · 글로벌비즈니스대학원 · 문화예술대학원 전 과정)". ENTRANCE FEE 550,000 WON, ONCE, paid separately; the 50% scholarship does not cover it.
First-semester bill (2027 guide): M.Div. 550,000 + 2,863,000 less 1,431,500 = 1,981,500 won; Social Welfare and AI Global Business 2,082,500 won; K-Beauty Care 2,484,000 won. From semester 2 the share follows your GPA.
Dormitory, "same as undergraduate", no period printed: men's hall single 680,000 won, double 530,000 won; women's hall single 700,000 won, double 550,000 won. New and far-away students first.
The dorm notice of 2026-08-19 charges these as the semester move-in fee (4-person room 430,000 won); apply on the school's dormitory form.
Postal applications include the papers, a return envelope and registered postage. The school plans a living-support payment for selected top students each semester ("신설·예정"); no amount or rule is printed.

All requirements
- You and BOTH parents are foreign nationals; you hold or expect a bachelor's and finished schooling abroad equal to Korean elementary, secondary and university study
- KOREAN TRACK, one of: TOPIK 3 or DSU TOPIK 3, held or expected; KIIP stage 3 completed or pre-test 61 or more; King Sejong Institute intermediate 1. TO GRADUATE: TOPIK 4 or DSU TOPIK 4
- HOW TO APPLY: send the papers first; the school reviews them and tells you whether you may apply; only then is the application form (attached DOCX) accepted. More papers can be asked for
- Selection: document review, an oral interview and, for the arts field, a practical test; financial ability is part of the review
- Applicants abroad or unable to come are provisionally selected on the papers; they come to Korea before the semester starts and sit the test, and only then is the final decision made
- The interview and practical test may be replaced by the document review (guide note). Missing the interview without permission is a fail. A Korean high school record is checked for school-violence measures
- All papers as originals (copies in some cases), with Korean translations; some must be notarised in your own country. Degrees from China need the 학력인증 verification from chsi.com.cn or cdgdc.edu.cn (about 30 days)
- The guide adds that the Chinese verification can be requested through 서울공자아카데미 (www.cis.or.kr) and takes about 30 days to issue
- Apostille-convention countries: apostille the diploma and transcript; other countries: confirmation by the Korean embassy there. Incomplete files are not accepted and papers are not returned
- Original papers in person at the International Exchange and Education Institute; by post only after calling, with your applicant number and a return envelope with registered postage
- Places: no limit (outside the quota). Not paying tuition in the registration window is a fail. A refused visa cancels the admission; the school does not answer for visa decisions
- TUITION a semester (2027 guide): 2,863,000 won. ENTRANCE FEE 550,000 won once, paid separately. Application fee: waived (all four special graduate schools). First semester: 50% of tuition off. May change from March 2027
- The Spring 2027 guide prints no church rules. The seminary's own Fall 2026 foreigner guide (HWP, admissions page 02_4) did: baptised 3 years or more before entry (infant baptism: 3 years since confirmation), as printed "수세 후 만3년이 경과된 자"
- That Fall 2026 guide also asked a presbytery moderator's letter (노회장 추천서), a session moderator's letter (당회장 추천서) and a baptism certificate on school forms, and barred dual nationals. Ask whether these still apply for 2027
