Published by Dankook University. Which of these a scholarship covers is decided by the school.

What do I need?

• Application form, CV and study plan (motivation and goals, future research plan); academic record check consent for foreign degrees
• Bachelor's graduation (or expected) certificate and transcript (China: CHSI verification report and degree certificate; elsewhere apostille or consular legalisation); PhD applicants also the master's certificate and transcript
• Your passport copy; parents' passports or IDs; family relation proof (China: hukou copy and notarised kinship certificate; others: a government family relation or birth certificate); ARC copy if you live in Korea
• TOPIK or King Sejong certificate, or English score; the Korean test form and language-institute enrolment certificate if used; the English-track form; the advisor's recommendation for the Global Talent scholarship
• Bank statement copy or a DKU advisor's support letter; arts: practical or portfolio; DKU graduates: dormitory priority form; transfers: previous school enrolment certificate and transcript

THE BANK BALANCE IS 20,000,000 WON OR MORE in your or a parent's name: a copy WITH the application, the original after admission (no certificate of admission without it). Residents of Korea: an original from a Korean bank in your own name. Applicants from China who get the visa there: the balance frozen 6 months.

A DKU advisor's financial support letter can replace the bank statement (one sponsored student per advisor). At a D-4 or D-10 to D-2 change the Fall 2026 admit guide asked for 20,000,000 won in a Korean bank (10,000,000 for DKU language students).

Application fee 70,000 won (100,000 if you sit the Korean test); arts majors 100,000 (130,000). Failing the Korean test refunds 40,000 (arts 70,000). Entrance fee 980,000 won once; waived for Dankook graduates.

Expected graduates must file the final degree certificate and transcript 2 weeks before the semester starts; without them there is no certificate of admission and the admission is cancelled.

Tuition is paid at any Woori Bank branch (Fall 2026: July). Dormitory: Dankook graduates get priority; others apply to the dormitory office themselves, self-paid, no fee printed.

All requirements

• THE FALL 2026 GUIDE IS THE NEWEST. The graduate school says the Spring 2027 guide will be posted at the end of September; it was not up on 1 October 2026. Dates, fees and rules below may change
• Both parents foreign nationals, or a Korean national or foreigner who did all schooling equal to Korean primary, secondary and university abroad. A bachelor's for a master's or integrated course, a master's for a PhD
• KOREAN, one of: TOPIK 3; a degree from a Korean university (or graduate school), or a Korean-language major or minor abroad; a pass (70 of 100) on the graduate school's written Korean test; King Sejong intermediate 1
• The written Korean test is only for students at a Korean four-year university's language institute without TOPIK 3 (Fall 2026: 2 May). Admits below TOPIK 4 take a 3-credit Korean course and one DKU Korean course term
• English-track admits may be exempted from that Korean course and term. One applicant cannot apply to two or more departments or programmes
• ENGLISH instead, one of: TOEFL iBT 71 (new scale 4.0), IELTS 5.5, CEFR B2, TEPS 600 (New TEPS 326), TOEIC 750; or schooling or a degree in a country where English is native or official (apostilled diploma)
• English-taught track departments: English Language and Literature and Chemical Engineering (Jukjeon); Animal Biotechnology and Nano-Bio Medical Science (Cheonan). No interpretation is provided in classes
• Selection: the guide's table says documents 100%, no interview (arts: documents 50 plus practical or portfolio 50), but its notes and the web notice (8 or 9 May 2026) say interviews, in person or online by department
• Closed to international applicants at every level: Science and Technology Policy (Jukjeon), IT Law (Jukjeon), Smart Convergence (Cheonan). Many departments close single levels, so check your department's row
• A special programme recognised by the dean can admit you without TOPIK or an English score
• Transfers: semester 2 after 1 semester in a related graduate programme with 6 credits (master's) or 9 (PhD); semester 3 after 2 semesters with 15 or 18. Anyone currently registered at Dankook cannot apply as a transfer
