What can I study?
- Political Science and Diplomacy, Public Administration, Counselling
- Urban Planning and Real Estate: Urban and Regional Planning, Real Estate
- Media Communication: Journalism, Video Content, Advertising and PR (5,133,000 from year 2)
- Public Policy, Social Welfare, Food and Resource Economics
- Health Administration (the only health science major open)
Published by Dankook University. Which of these a scholarship covers is decided by the school.
What do I need?
- Application form printed from the application site and signed; the academic record check consent (school form); a partner high school principal's recommendation if your school has an agreement
- Freshmen: high school graduation (or expected) certificate, original, with apostille or consular legalisation (China: CHSI report or a legalised expected-graduation certificate); transcript notarised, legalised or apostilled
- Transfers: university graduation or enrolment certificate (legalised or apostilled; China: CHSI report), transcript, and proof of the credits needed to graduate
- Passport copy with a year or more left; passport or ID copies of you and both parents; original family relation certificate (China: a notarised hukou in the stated case); divorce or death papers if relevant
- Language proof: TOPIK or King Sejong certificate, DKU Global Education Center transcript, DKU-certified overseas institute certificate, or TOEFL / IELTS report (English track). Transfers awaiting TOPIK: the test receipt
- In Korea: ARC copy and the immigration entry and exit record (required for D-4, D-2 and F holders). Arts (not Creative Writing): video or portfolio. Dormitory form if you want a room (no form, no room)
THE BANK BALANCE IS 20,000,000 WON OR MORE (or equivalent) from a Korean or overseas bank in your or a parent's name, with the school's guarantee form. File it ONCE, only AFTER admission and tuition, when you ask for the certificate of admission; issued within 30 days before the visa application.
External scholarship holders file the award letter instead. D-4 holders changing to D-2 need a Korean bank statement in their own name, pay a 100,000 won revenue stamp and 35,000 won for the card, and may not leave Korea before the change.
D-4 holders whose stay ends during the admission period must register another language term to extend it. The school may also ask for your balance history over a set period.
Applying with an expected-graduation certificate: the certificate of admission is issued only after you file the final graduation certificate. Applicants abroad must contact the office before applying.
Application fee 120,000 won (60,000 a stage); arts 160,000 (60,000 plus 100,000); Creative Writing pays 120,000. Fail the online Korean test and the second-stage fee is returned (overseas transfer costs are yours); otherwise no refund.
Tuition: round 1 pays a deposit 27 November to 22 December and the balance 18 to 27 January 2027; round 2 pays 18 to 27 January. The 2027 figure is set in January and may rise by up to 5%. KRW only; unpaid means cancelled.
