- Robotics and Mechatronics Engineering
- Energy Science and Engineering
- Brain Sciences
- New Biology
- Artificial Intelligence
- Artificial Intelligence Major in Interdisciplinary Studies
- Biomedical Science and Engineering

What do I need?
- Online application form and statement of purpose, on UwayApply. The statement answers four set questions, in English, Korean or both
- Degree certificate, or expected graduation certificate: the bachelor's for an MS, the bachelor's and master's for a PhD
- Academic transcripts for the same degrees
- Optional: an official English test report (compulsory for New Biology and the AIMS track)
- Optional: recommendation letters on DGIST's form, sent by the recommender to [email protected]. There is no limit on how many
- General Scholarship (employed) applicants: an employment certificate and a recommendation letter
- Optional: other certificates that show your ability
YOUR DEGREE CERTIFICATE AND TRANSCRIPTS MUST CARRY AN APOSTILLE OR A KOREAN EMBASSY NOTARISATION from the country where your university is, even at the online stage.
Graduates of Chinese universities send the verification report from the Chinese Ministry of Education (CHSI).
Some Korean embassies ask for an English test report at the visa stage even if you did not send one to DGIST.
Nothing you send is returned.

All requirements
- You may apply to only ONE department (or programme) per intake
- You apply on UwayApply: sign up, fill in the form, upload the documents, pay the application fee
- You must graduate from your current school by the day you start at DGIST, or the admission is cancelled
- Interdisciplinary Engineering applicants must contact a DGIST professor in a lab of interest before applying. So must Robotics and Mechatronics PhD applicants, who also name their preferred lab
- Electrical Engineering and Computer Science applicants name up to three research fields in the statement of purpose. Energy Science MS and integrated applicants name two preferred subjects
- Enrolling at another school at the same time gets you expelled
- Your scholarship type decides what you pay. Read the types in the admission guideline before you apply
